Jottings of Japan

Never really thought of myself as a blogger before... but it seems to be the trend of late, so I thought I'd give it a go. Apologies in advance for the boring content you will endure as I capture my life in size 10 Arial font (for the most part, anyway). So without further ado, Let's blogging!

Rain Rain Go Away...

Finally, after 3 days of solid rain the skies have cleared. And now my towels which have been hanging outside for the past 4 days can dry.

And the Primary School can have their Sports Festival. I went there for a bit this morning when I didn't have class at the Junior High. Just as I arrived they were finishing the PTA race, and then had lunch. Some families were nice enough to feed me - sekihan onigiri (was really good), some hambaagu and the tiniest can of coke you have ever layed eyes on. Love the people in my village. Then after lunch the brass band - comprising kids in Years 4 5 and 6 - played. They played the Mickey Mouse March, their school song, and Choo Choo Train by Chemistry. They were AWESOME! There is no way kids in Australia could do that. At all. As they played, they marched and made all these formations - it was really really cool.

It's still going now but I have just had class and need to do some work so I can't go back. But I had fun when I went.
